Hi,

I had some freetime to learn a new 3d-model technique with Sculptris. Instead of how i modeled rudy with Blender. Where i use pictures behind the 3d model.

This is a first test and i know this table will not be build before it's out of production ;-) but the first model is here now :-D

Let me know what you guys think of it ;-)

Nice model :) but it may be a while before any SPIKE game will be available in VP, Since the SPIKE system is not supported/emulated by Vpinmame.

Thank you fren! Also for pointing me out to sculptris.

I did it once before in blender but this is for me very easy modeling and painting! And it's just for free :-D

I know this model isn't going to be used for now but is seems to me as the perfect sculp model. I think this technique also used with the Original stern model.  But is was fun to do and try :-D

if someone is interested in this model (obj,uv-map and sculptris model) sent me a pm.

What models are you looking for from this table?

I always can take a look at it. But i don't know how fast i can get them ready ;-) (depents on the model)

Mainly both the castle (I don't think that ever got modled, just the draw bridge) and dragon.

Yes I have a bunch of meshes for MM and sent them over to mfuegemann who wants to do a VPX version. The meshes I have are castle, troll, dragon, portcullis and drawbridge.

I had planned on doing a version of MM and was going to contact you fuzzel for the models.. Hearing that it's already in the works I guess I'll just work on something else.. :-)

vanlion, the kiss model looks awesome.. Keep up the great work..

Reminds of my first 8 track tape - bought back when you could by one at any grocery / drug store. Love it!

I'm excited to hear about whatever you choose to work on next, ICP. Your tables get lots of play around our place. Whirlwind, Hurricaine mod, and Safecracker especially. All top-notch.

Nice you have done this models. I think this will be a great table with vp10. How did you do the modeling? also with a 3d scanner? something i can't beat ;-)

Hi all,

just to say something about the great MM models by Fuzzel. Zany and I are working on a new MM version for VP9 at the moment. The VPX version will follow as the beta state of VPX is over.

The table is functional and I will start a WIP thread soon.

Regards

Michael

Hi vanlion,

sorry for posting out of topic above. Your KISS head model is looking great. How was the effort and the learning curve compared to blender?

Michael

That don't mind I'd like the discussion here :-)

What I like about sculptris is that you can only sculp and paint with some easy tools. Also the triangel reduce button is very helpfull. With blender there is a lot more going on and more complex.
With sculptris you can learn very quick, without having a lot of experience, sculpting.

The Kiss model was also my first try out

yes Sculptris is a very powerfull tool and it's free. It's perfect if you want to model organic objects and you can achieve good results in a couple of hours instead of learning to master Blender/Maya/3DSMAX which takes months.
