I know it would look crappy but at least it would work. I am sure others would agree having it work is better then not at all.

Russ, you are amazing!  I can't believe how small the PinDMD1 is!  It is awesome!  Thank you so much!

Is there a DLL for pinDMD1 that removes the dmd from the playfied? There was some talk in the past about doing that. I am having a hard time with some scrips with the hidden function.

Thanks for any help

-Andy

Andy ( and everyone ),

I didn't like going into the registry to edit each table for every B2S that I had.

I noticed that when I did a "shorthand" script version of .showpindmd = 0 (of course in the With Controller script section), it would not error, but VERY seldomly (like 1 outta 10 tables) would it actually do the command.

After hours of bugging on why, how, huh, etc... I got the script line that WILL WORK EVERY TIME!

I wrote it down, and was planning on doing a Youtube vid, but time is preventing that - so here it is:

.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("showpindmd") = 0

Make sure to add that line in the script and it will work :-)

Test and give feedback

THANKS!

QUOTE (jhlerner @ May 21 2012, 01:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Just want to say thank you to Russ, got mine up and running, very easy, and very nice! Any thoughts on what code needs to be changed in the script to keep the dmd off the playfield? Some games still have it on there even though the new dmd is running as well.

Thanks,
Jeff

You will have to turn them off on a table by table basis.
The line in most scripts you are looking for is .Hidden=1
It is usualy found right after the Table Init section of the script.
If .Hidden=0 it will show the DMD
If .Hidden=1 it will hide the DMD.

A few scripts use true and false as well.

How about those tables that don't have a "hidden" line?    How to remove the dmd from the playfield?  Thanks!

Russdx, can you help me!
I need your help a lot .... Could you clarify a question?
I'm building a virtual pinball and I'm a layman on the subject.
I got a dmd vishay lee-128G032B and a pin2dmd.
It happens, I'm having a hard time connecting him.
I know it uses a 5V power supply, but I'm afraid to get a power supply that's above what it needs or below what's needed, which can cause some damage to the display.
Can you tell me if I find any cable with a power supply ready for sale?
I found a cable in the market of 4 pin but of 5v and on the other side it is USB, do you think that would solve my problem?
The issue is that I did not want to connect it directly to the computer's power supply, because I already saw in the forums that it would be better to connect it to a separate source. But I did not want to pay such a high price just to buy a computer source just to connect the dmd, as I thought about getting this molex 4pin and usb cable and buy those power supplies with usb input and connecting directly to the wall outlet. What do you think about this?

I saw that most of the group produced with two cables (one black and one red) and put a 3amp fuse if I was not mistaken and adapted the molex and plugged in the computer source. Do you think I can use these power supplies like cell phones to do this? Because as I said I did not want to pay so dearly to buy a computer source if the display does not require so much.
Sorry for my ignorance, but if you can help me, I will thank you very much!
Let me know which is the most practical and appropriate solution I can do to solve this question!

Thank you very much and have a great day!
