EARTHSHAKER 4/3 WS VPM9

Rom imcomplet now started..
thanks again
One of my favorite pinball...
Thank you
nice work, thankyou

After changing contact friction to .0028 and increasing IM plunger power to 260 to compensate, this was a much more enjoyable table. Still fast, but more control. Great job!!!

I'm pretty sure the table itself works great, but I can't seem to launch the ROM with music - I can hear voices and DAC sounds (eg. the Tilt sound), but music is completely nonexistent.  I've tried adjusting the VPinMAME sound-chip volumes, doing a factory reset in the ROM, and even deleting the .cfg and .nvram files for the ROM in question (VPinMAME\cfg and VPinMAME\nvram, respectively).  Nothing appears to work.

I had a similar problem with BK2K, which is also on the S11 hardware, but deleting the .cfg file fixed it there.  Anyone else run into this problem?

This is with VPinMAME 2.3 installed.  Interestingly, if I open the ROM in VPinMAME Test Mode, I can hear music there - just not when run from Visual Pinball.  Strange.

... and just after I posted this, it started working mysteriously.  Not sure what's going on. :P  Anyway, thanks. :)

Seeing an issue now I didn't notice before where the Divert function is being called twice after the ball drops into the top vertical kicker from the highway ramp, then called once again after the ball incorrectly returns to the left inlane. Since the Divert function toggles the state of the CalNev fault, it remains the reverse of what it should be until the simulation is stopped. You can only get the first lock for multiball by a successful shot into the Shelter lock/kicker the first time, and thereafter the fault state makes getting to multiball too easy.

My guess is Visual PinMame is calling the event that triggers Divert incorrectly. The game is still fun, but I had to change the flipper properties to make the shelter lock shot easier. Current rom in use is esha_la3.

I also noticed the occasional 'music not starting' issue mentioned in the previous comment. Just close Visual Pinball and restart and it should come back. Delete the vram file if it doesn't.

Good fun, thanks.

Line 1100 should be  "If  not  FaultOpen  Then"  for the diverter to work properly.

ALL DIVERT-Functions will work  PERFECT  if you change the following lines in the script:

Line 1064     dim FaultOpen, FaultChange : FaultOpen = False : FaultChange = True

Line 1071     HRampSX.Collidable= False : HRampDX.Collidable= True

Line 1077     HRampSX.Collidable= True : HRampDX.Collidable= False

Line 1100     If not FaultOpen Then

Earthshaker ist a great table, either the original hardware and also this wonderful rebuilt !!
