I am near release of my new pinball: "World Championship Snooker" Actually, its my first FP table. I just need to do a few finishing touches and some testing but it should be up in a couple of days. Its kind of an "Eight Ball Champ" inspired snooker pinball. Here's a screenshot:

A snooker table! Sweet!

I grew up on a snooker table, so I look forward to checking it out.

Those that are used to playing on a snooker table are masters at playing regular billiards. biggrin.gif

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

Is the VUK to shooter lane ramp an original element? I don't remember seeing that mechanic done before. Very cool.

I enjoy billiard games as well as tables with lots of EM targets, so this has got my interest.

Looks sharp and inviting. Very impressive first table.

yes, at first I had the ball disappear and then pop out of the top hole but I thought that was kind of crap. This looks better and it also gives you another chance at the skill shot!

The basic rules are like this:

-there are 15 drop targets representing the 15 red balls on a snooker table.
-hitting a drop target lights the "coloured" ball standup targets for scoring. yellow through black just like in real life
-there is a secondary display (on the backbox and on the playfield) that keeps track of your actual snooker score.
naturally every red drop target is worth 1 snooker point and every lit coloured target scores that balls coresponding points (2 through 7) This score comes into play for the jackpot bonus once a "frame" has been completed. Also, there is a "frame champion" entry in the high score table.
-once all 15 drop targets are down then you must hit each of the coloured targets in order from yellow to black (just like in real snooker)
-once the final black has been potted you then need to hit the left hole to collect the jackpot which is worth 1000 points per "snooker point" you collected during the frame.
-after that everything is reset and you start again.
-if you are playing with more than one player its just like real snooker, the state of the targets remain constant from player to player. The only difference is that collecting the jackpot is more like 9-ball in that one player can sink all the balls and miss the final shot and then the next player can hit the final ball and take the jackpot. Except in that case, the player "stealing" the jackpot would receive very little since he has not made many balls.

Its quite easy to complete a frame but actually quite difficult to get a high snooker score. I have yet to score a "century" but I haven't really been trying during testing.

Anyway, time to go have some champagne!!!!!!!!!
