I click the link in the thread, then click the download button, then click agree & download, and then click download, and the files work fine for me. It's a lengthy procedure to download something with the new forum upgrade I guess. :(

Thanks for that Oldskoolgamer - Noah has file moderation on so I had to 'approve' my own uploads... Should be working now.

Alternately, the files are also on sourceforge:
https://sourceforge....ball/files/VP9/

which only requires a single click on the page....

Thank you for the release!
I noticed some graphic issues with the EMreels, it seems they are not working exactly the same way as before, you can see that on the T2 chrome.

Wow, 3D rendering, we got to change out cab TV now :D

Is there any detailed information about the new additions ? I don't see what "controller button support to key options for all controllers" means...

Don't know if I did it wrong but the images dont show up in the plunger image menu

Thanks!
& while I like the plunger color options, nobody really uses that old plunger anymore anyways, & the color changing doesn't seem to do anything on the modern one. Also, the modern one has an image dropdown box, but no images appear in it. What I was just trying to do is cross my fingers & see if I could load a spring image onto the metal part of the plunger. Doesn't seem to be possible to do that or change colors. If this is the case, I think most of us will keep using other plunger options.
However, for those not feeling up for that, it is nice that the modern option is there, as at least it looks 10x better than the old one which looked nothing like a pinball plunger!

With the single wire ramp type, I'm not sure I understand the benefit of that. Obviously we've always just used regular ramps to make single wires. Seems that I'm also unable to size these at all. Yeah just curious as to how this is useful. The other new things seem to be more for cab users.

Oh, but don't think I didn't notice this "primitive" thing. WTF is that???? Should I not get too excited about it? Looks like it could do some cool things, but you guys didn't even list it in the changes! You guys leaving out any other details?
I wanted to mention also that I seem to be getting a slight performance boost with this version! Like one of my rougher running tables idled at 218 fps before, but now 221/222.

Also, ATTN users... those with 64 bit, don't forget that you'll need to patch this with the 4gb patch. Well you don't NEED to, but you should!

Looking and playing good!! Like the new features! I wish the wire ramp addition was available about a week ago when i made my first piece-by-piece ramp, that would have been better i think.
Defaults are "off' for the 3d stuff btw.

Thanx to the dev team for their work and imput!!

I'm an end user, simply enjoying VP on 2 laptops. I'm not an author, do not have a 2nd monitor, do not have a cab , do not have a 3D TV.
Do I need to download this update?

Whatever the answer, a big thank you to all the people involved to make VP better & better. :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap: :dblthumb: :dblthumb: :dblthumb:

We will need to fix the rendering for EMReels and Primitives. Cupid worked on primitives - they allow you to have a spinning disc animate by using a single image rather than a full table image for each frame of movement, as well as dynamic script-controllable modification of rotation and transposition and speed with individual sides (like a spinning cube 'trunk chest' in Theatre of Magic using a single object instead of all those walls). There is a limit of a single primitive per table file for now and collision isn't implemented for it, but for a spinning disc object it will save on the video memory requirement when the rendering is corrected.

Image mapped plungers don't work yet - but the field is there for future expansion.

Hmm. I've been messing with Gilligan's Island & of course there is that super complex spinning jungle thing. But it sounds like primitive thing wouldn't be of much use for that. However I do know that xio is working on updating Twister right now & he actually was just asking for help I think with the spinning disc.
So maybe anybody looking to try this thing out, maybe go & help him with that? I'm sure its over my head but I'd love to see an example of it working.
Why the limit of 1 per table? Guess that would rule out adding this thing on Whirlwind.

I am interested to learn more of this rotation and transposition aspect a little bit further. If you look at my HM table you will see i used this for the spinning object i used. JP taught me how to make an array uses multiple images and it works great... however, about 2 weeks ago, he taught me another way, using one image. I haven't yet had time to implement it, but i think it must be similar to what you are saying perhaps Destruk?
At any rate, looking forward to the updates!! It will make our lives much easier in future creations.

@FD - i don't think the 3D TV will do much for you right now, but maybe some of the other features may if you ever decide to try authoring a table. I would upgrade just because.... it seems to be a seemless transition here on my laptop.
