Hi folks,

Just looking for thoughts and suggestions here as I don't know what to try next.

So I have Ultimarc GoldLeaf RGB Illuminated Pushbuttons connected to I-PAC Ultimate I/O. They have worked flawlessly until recently.

As best as memory serves, nothing changed causing the issue. The only possible exception MAY be that I upgraded VPX to .6 BETA when it was released.

The problem is when holding down the left flipper button it will twitch, very minuetly, but twitch nonetheless. It will twitch, maybe 1-2 times per second, for as long as its held down.

The right flipper is rock solid. As I mentioned, both were perfect for over a year previously.

I have replaced the button, the terminal connectors, the wiring, with no change.

When held down, voltmeter shows steady, but flipper in game still twitches.
I have measured at all points from the switches contacts down to the board.

There is no "shift" function assigned to the flippers in the I-PAC software or VPX.

I also have a KL25Z in place to handle nudging and my Oak Micros Plunger.

The only thing I can think of at this point is wiring the button to the KL25Z.
While not a big deal, it means some changes in wire management, so I have put that off for now.

Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? I would be most appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

It could be the i-PAC.  Try connecting the left flipper button to the right flipper input on the i-PAC and vice versa.  If the problem moves to the right flipper, there's something wrong with that input on the i-PAC.

Thank you Strells, great troubleshooting step and totally overlooked it.

I will give that a shot.

So I switched left flipper for right, and sure enough I had solid (non-twitching) flippers when held down ... On the first table I tested.
On the second table, left flipper was twitchy.
Table three, solid.

Repeated testing with each table, and consistently had the same results.
Certain tables have twitchy flippers and other do not.

Maybe something to do with how the tables are coded AND the version of Visual Pinball I'm running?

Think I will run flippers directly off the KL25Z just to see if results continue to be consistent.

Thanks and any other suggestions are welcome!

Something's up with the i-Pac.  I doubt this is table specific.  It's either pressed or not, and that is determined by your encoder.

Definitely try wiring to the Pinscape.

I had twitchy flipper problems. The leaf switch needed adjustment. It didn't always do it. The shorter stronger metal leaf that is furthest from the button needed adjusted closer to the button creating back pressure on the leaf as it is pushed "away" by the leaf closer the the button.
