This is a complete rebuild of Attack from Mars, based on the table by Midway/Bally/Williams from 1995.
 
Version 5.0 is only for VPX8, as it includes many changes only available in VPX8.

I always get an error in line 50 ("with Controller") which tells me that a Controller is required. I am answering the DOF question with "no".

I have this problem in every VPX table I've tried so far. What's wrong?

Not getting sound in this table for some reason - I get the flipper / ball sounds, etc. but not any kind of game sounds.  Wondering what I've managed to goof up.  All my other installed VPX tables work fine.  Any suggestions?

I have the same issue with this table.  Get all the flippers / ball sounds, but no music.  I've checked that the table volume is all the way up too, no luck.  Any ideas?

For some reason, the sound on just this table turned off yesterday on my cab too. The fix was to press F1 and enable the use of the rom sound again by checking the box, save, then press F3 to reload the rom. All fixed now, but I'm not sure how it got disable. Odd.

Hmm, tried to reset a few times and restarted it completely.  Still nothing for sound other than the defaults.  Guess I'll try the other AFM VPX table and see if it works. 

Ok, finally got it working.  I tried removing the cfg and nvram files but it didn't have any effect at first.  I grabbed the afm_113 and afm_11 roms and threw them in my rom directory for good measure.  I re-cleared the cfg and nvram files once again, restarted everything and now it's working.   Doubtful that the other roms did anything since I only see afm_113b referenced in the AFM and AFRM table scripts that are uncommented.  I only list it because it was part of the steps I went through - I was about to uncomment the afm_113 line and comment out the 113b rom.  But more than likely the multiple clearing of the nvram/cfg reset something, although I've got no clue why it didn't work the first time.  Anyway, both are working now and both are awesome tables! Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks!  This was the fix for me.  I had no clue about the "F1" options having a Sound option, and definitely not sure what caused it to be unchecked.  Fixing that and reloading did the trick.

 

anyone else getting a trough error in the script? Line: 81 Variable is undefined: 'cvpmTrough"

figured it out... place core.vbs in the tables folder

 

 

I also struggled with this for a long time. Looks like the installer put a core.vbs and some other scripts in both the Tables folder and the Scripts folder. Once I deleted the older scripts in the Table folder, the new scripts in the Scripts folder was run and everything was ok.
