Guys, the Hauted HOTEL- Table is working with the HH Rom ?

 

No, there is no haunted hotel table, only haunted house table, or i have not found one anyways
But the haunted hotel ROM exists.
It does not work in haunted house because the switches and solenoids are all different

 

i can not find a schematic for it though

I played with it a bit in ROM runner, did not come up with anything playable
But since the ROM exists, and VpinMAME supports it, there is obviously information someplace.
Just a matter of finding it and rewiring the table to suit the ROM

Probably harder to do the graphics?

 

Maybe i will play with the ROM through the week, between work
see if i can figure anything useful out

Well, gentlemen, actually, as we speak, LTD's Haunted Hotel artwork is being fully redraw by pedator. :) I provided him almost 1 GB of images from this table. ;)
 
Michael Fuegemann will work on Haunted Hotel when he has enough time to do so. ;)
 
By the way, it would be great if someone could help him with the identification of switches, lights and solenoid numbers for this table, as there is no manual available, as well as for all other LTD tables. :(
 
And yes, the Brazilian pinball fans, instead of only asking for the recreation of this or that table, could go after information and resources to make them possible. However, I think it’s not gonna happen.

Wow since they 'borrowed" Haunted House from Gottlieb, I'd imagine they used the same lamps, solenoids and switch numbers too.

Just use the Haunted house manual. Nice find. I had no idea this existed.

Nothing i can do to help him in the art and what not areas
But i will see if i can figure out some of the wiring using rom runner, and haunted house
see what i can get functional

i have tried to find some documentation but am coming up all lemons

They can't sort of
They used what looks to be either a taito or ltd built controller, which probably is used in other tables also
it wont have same ID's and probably not worth the effort to reprogram or redesign that far to make it do so
just rewrite the table logic to suit the controller i would imagine, and wire the table accordingly.

 

black knight does not use the same ID's as cavalier negros
but the playfields are "borrowed" from black knight

 

totally different controller though

luvthatapex : I doub that very much. There exists several Taito tables with their "original" tables already for VPX, and by quickly comparing Gorgar and Drakor, almost none of the 6 solenoids of Drakor matches what Gorgar uses. That is also why there is only a few guys in this community that are crazy enough to take upon themselves the task of figuring out what goes where, without even a manual. Michael has done it many times before, and I'm still wondering how he is able to.

I feel the frustration. I wonder what Michael uses, except his brain.

 

copious quantities of Tylenol, Excedrin, and Morphine?
Cause my head already hurts

I can drop coins and start the game (hard wired, by the numbers)
but do not have the eject ball and begin play figured out exactly

I think i may have 3 Pop Bumper lights semi figured out, but not sure of right order

And maybe the center backglass lights, but 0 clue on correct order

I keep watching and stopping and rewinding, and listening to the 2 videos of the game in play
trying to match patterns i see or hear to what is going on in romrunner

I'm quite sure that you will be able to save some time by looking at other Taito scripts.

 

of the taito and LTD ones i looked at so far, nothing matched.

still looking though

On an interesting note, there are a series of switches in hhotel rom that are cycled during idle
when i stuck that into another taito table, it gave free credits during idle

Obviously, wrong controller

Useless, but kind of funny though

have not found a taito controller yet yet that matches up
Ive gotten a few things, but not enough for a playable table

Never mind Haunted Hotel is in PinMAME.

 

Unless you can duplicate the logic in script alone

 

I mean, you can rewire the table script to haunted house ROM, run the sound with no ROM audio
dump the sound from hhotel, and have the script handle the sound, though i will not swear the game play rules are 100% identical.

 

But we have the ROM, so it is just a matter of us collectively figuring out the wiring
then wiring house up to it appropriately, and then getting someone to do the graphics, to swap the graphics out on the table

I've read through every post and while I see some comments regarding the upstairs flipper issue I don't see a resolution for my setup.

I don't have dedicated magna save buttons on the sides so how can I map the current left/right flippers to also control the upstairs ones?

The main table and the downstairs are working fine.

ANY help is appreciated.
