What's New in Version 5.0.0 (See full changelog)
- 5.0.0 Uodated 01.07.2023
- - Update for VPX8
- - New spinning lamp routine based on Sliderpoint's tesserac code.
- - Updated physics to my VPX7/8 Rev 3 .
- - adjusted lights and flashers.
- -removed old code like thefading lights and the realtime timer as the fading os the flashers is done by VPX8 itself now, and also the primitive animations.
- And, Yes, this is for VPX8 only, as the table uses the new possibilities of VPX8 and it won't work fine in older VPX.
- 4.0.0 Updated 10.11.2022
- - Updated to my VPX7 physics
- - Made new holes to the playfield
- - Some small script updates, like the Rolling sound, Fading Lights and PlaySoundAt routines.
- - Added my latest VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL).
- - cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- - Changed the Environment image to enhance the metals and also a little the object shadows.
- 3.0 Updated 16.10.2020
- Updated script, physics & graphics:
- - added the arcade physics 3.0
- - made optional modulated solenoids, default is off. The change must be done in the script, set the Const UseVPMModSol = True
- - enhanced the images if they were not already 4k (or close enough :) ).
- - removed workarounds for the vpinmame droptargets as they fully support SSF (hit sounds) with the latest vpinmame.
- - new rolling routine that now includes the ball shadow, the ball drop sound from Rothbauer and my ball speed control.
- - Easy change of the ambient lightning: Hold down LeftMagnaSave and with RightMagnaSave it will switch between LUT images, from light to dark, 9 levels, and the selection will be saved for the table.
- - added sideblades
- - some extra collision sounds.
- 2.0.1 Updated 04.01.2020
- - better SSFX settings
- - more random hit sounds
- - some new sounds
- - back to FS POV for cabinets
- - DMD for desktop version on a flasher object for easy placement/movement.
- - updated physics
- - new playfield mesh for better hole physics
- 2.0.0 Update 2.0.0
- - "DT" version (new FS view, new physics, small changes in the graphics)
- 1.3.0 Updated 05.02.2019
- - fixed here and there, removed extra trigger, changed defect bulb (light l86), new sounds ad script for ssf, higher resolution graphics, added some decorations, adjusted physics on the flippers and some walls, changed environment image to make metals look more chrome, changed plastics ramps, and some more things I forgot :)
- 1.2.0 updated 31.Dec.2016
- - updated for VPX 10.2 and vpinmame 2.8 (added modulated flashers, and fixed some wrong values from vpx 10.0)
- - changed the image on the ramps
- 1.1.1 Updated 18.01.2016
- - DOF by arngrim

Now this is an interesting contest question, will you find the better way to add/position the flashers and or may get used to a cabinet usage too, or will I maybe be able to adjust the obvious Genie eyes which appear around the bear region myself?
Hey Bassgeige, if you click on the "Layer" menu and select only Layer 8 then you will see the two flashers (f27a and f27b) on their own for the eyes. You can then simply drag them into your preferred position depending on how you have set your cabinet view.
Thanks JP for an incredible VPX version. One of my favourites and now it plays even better than the previous physmod 5 version I had. Really amazing feel, thanks so much for all your hard work.

Thanks! I can only recommend everyone to follow xzotic's instruction. My results are:
By the way, which one is the best layback setting for TOTAN? Until now I used always the default cabinet mode for every pinball.
Many thanks again to jpsalas, this TOTAN release is the coronation for TOTAN!
Just a further on moving the eye flashers. if you select each one and simply press the up arrow 19 times on each they should be perfect. they don't need to move left or right.
How can I have the DMD display over the background in desktop mode?
Please help!
Never mind, I've found it.
Really appreciate your continued quality input!
Please upload a normal version without DOF as version 1.1.1

I was having the same issue. You have to delete every script in your tables file. This will solve the problem. Has the new install has the latest scripts in the scripts folder.
great thanks!

Thank you very much for your Tales of the Arabian Nights 1.1.0!!!
It is a motivation to try to position the flashers in an own self attempt for the cabinet usage as you explained it here: http://www.vpforums....342#entry328633
"All the VPX tables can be played FS, but some of my tables may need to move the flashers a little. When I find a better way to add/position the flashers I'll do that to my tables, but for now the flashers are adjusted for desktop since that is what I use."

It does not matter, I love Tales of the Arabian Nights 1.1.0 as it is! :-)
Happy New Year!
