Eight Ball Deluxe VP91x v1.2FS

Version: 1.2.0
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table by Bally/Midway from 1984, the so called third edition with the black apron.
This is the FS version. You may need to adjust the backdrop settings to fit your display.

In this FS table I have removed from the view table the reels of the backdrop and enabled the vpm dmd. I guess most of you will modify this table to use a second display. If you have any question do not hesitate to ask.

JP

Update 1.1:
- Adjusted the bright of some lights, so the on/off states are easily to see.
- some changes in the script and settings.

Update 1.2
- Added alpha ramp transparent plastics
- Added a new plunger made with alpha ramps

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

It's a great table. But how do i stop it from giving me 3 credits at the end of every game?

It should not do that. I think the best is to reset the table by deleting the nvram file, this is eballdlx.nv from the NVRAM folder.

Thank you for the reply.

I removed the table and it's still doing that, it reset all credits (had to 'insert coin') played a game and as soon as the last ball drained there were 3 credits given.

Am i the only one having this problem? Is there something in the script that could be causing this?

EDIT:

Actually, after a few games it inexplicably stopped.

You get the creds JP

(Clackclackclack smile.gif )

AND ANOTHER EDIT:

Another quick question, do you get credits for getting the high score?

FIGURED IT OUT EDIT:

Yeah sorry guys, because it was a new table i was constantly getting high scores that was giving me 3 credits.

Update 1.2
- Added alpha transparent plastics
- Added a new plunger made with alpha ramps

In this table I have added the new way to make the plunger using alpha transparent ramps. I should like to know if it works using an Ati card. I guess it wont work at all if you are not using hardware rendering, then the best thing to do is to just move away the 12 ramps and turn the plunger visibility on. I just hope the new default plunger for VP is very close to be released now so we won't need these extra plunger images.

This FS table includes higher resolution graphics for the playfield and plastics, and some tweaks to the flippers and table slope like in all my VP912 releases.

Hello JP

Again many thanks for the great table, along with Triple Strike this is one of my favorites.

I've noticed that in this version i get no crazy bounces up the flippers, that was my only real gripe before. I have this working wonderfully in HyperPin with UVP (which i must say has also greatly improved performancewise since i was last here).

I'm extremely impressed.

I've been out of the loop for a bit but i'm gathering that this 'alpha plastic' thing is why plastics look transparent as opposed to looking like meshes? If so, i'm using an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Mobile and it's working wonderfully.

I've noticed, and im not sure if it's the VPinball update or the table update but the pitch of the table's voice seems to rise and fall.

Thank you,
