File Name: The Party Zone VP91x

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 30 Mar 2010

File Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1991
Permission to MOD?: No

Based on the Bally table from 1991

I should like to thank destruk for his help with the routine for the head.

And also thanks to Strangeleo for the backdrop and the many pictures and video he took of the original machine.

The table is only for VP9, and it is angle independent (the plunger may look a little weird on some angles), so if you don't like the dmd then just delete it http:///default/smile.gif and adjust the scale as you wish.

JP

Update 1.1:
- Added the impulse plunger for better hiting the skillshot. But still is quite hard to achieve.
- changed some settings

Update 1.2 28 March 2011
- Updated for VP912 with new alpha ramps
- Added new flippers and changed some settings.
- Added new bumpers
- Fixed the left ramp

Update 1.2.1 28 April 2011
- Added the missing roll over wires http:///default/smile.gif

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

Amazing table, JP!
Had a game or two. The only thing I would change to make it more realistic is:
sw41.Kick 190, 25
on the BackPopper sub.
If the machine is shopped, the back popper should make the ball fly off the ramp on the first loop. I owned a Party Zone for four years and shopped it myself. Believe me. I loved that.
Anyway, we don't want that to happen in VP, so 25 for strength is OK biggrin.gif
Keep it up JP!! I still expect to see that Hook from you smile.gif

Fantastic - thanks.
I'd been hoping for an update to this table since a friend of mine had one a few months ago...it's great fun.

Regards,
Dan.

Just had a few rounds of it,

I never knew that Captian B. Zarr actually turns his head to follow the ball where ever it goes.

Some of the lighting effects does put a strain on my CPU and causes the ball to move kinda jerky, but only during a Laff Attack when all of the lights flash all over the table. But I can expect that because my computer is a dinosaur. I experienced no slow down during mult-ball because I guess its only a 2 ball play.

But I must say that the Party Zone is one tough table. it took me about 12 plays to finally make get into the top 5 highest scores. I think Party Zone doesn't abuse score inflation that much.

I manage to get a high score of 46,611,250 4th place. Woo Hoo I'm getting better.

Again JP, I thank you for this wonderful and addicting table.

Now if you will excuse me while I try to beat the default grand champion score held by DEN at 75,000,000
