Funhouse VP91x 2.1.1FS

Version: 2.1.1
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the Williams table from 1990.
This is the FS version of the Funhouse 2.0. The only difference from the 4:3 is the plunger which is done with 2 small pictures to save a lot of video memory. The rest of the changes are just cosmetic adjustments so it look better in the FS mode.

Update 2.1
- Updated for VP91x, with alpha ramps and new graphics and settings.
- This FS version includes higher resolution graphics.

Update 2.1.1
- Tried to fix the ball loop between the bumpers

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

The older version was based on the 1.0 table which had a few errors in the script, a switch was on the wrong ramp, the upper flipper was too low, it is now easier to hit Rudy (but still quite difficult, at least for me smile.gif). I also changed the transparent ramps so they look transparent without using hardware rendering. The table was also made a little faster (change the slope in the editor if you think it is too fast). And the plunger uses just 2 tiny pictures instead of 13 full screnn images, thus saving video memory.

I get an app-crash in Window 7 - 64bit using nvidia 191.07 drivers too. I switched back to the 1.1 version for the moment.

Strange but true, I haven't found out what the problem is, I don't think it's nvidia drivers though. I tried commenting out the command with the "...rol = 0" command in case that was causing the problem but it didn't solve it. I even tried using the x/y scale commands to shrink the table to 1.6 and 1.9 in case something was being rendered outside the "screen-view" and causing VP907 to crash.

I'm totally not sure what the problem is at this point since I know JP uses VP907 now too... we'll have to tweak here and there until we find the problem I guess. huh.gif

I just noticed the 196.75 drivers were released on the 3rd
im snagging them now. I like to have current drivers installed allways.
Theres so much more im running on my PC other than Pinball.
Flight sims ect.

I hope this gets ironed out. I never had this error on any table before.

It's a whole new world, Isn't it Bob? Glad you are enjoying the FS tables.
I just wish I could figure out what my problem is with this table. I have never had this problem before.
So far it looks like it is a Windows 7 64 problem. (until we get more feedback that is.)

Anyhow, I forgot to thank JP for doing this FS table update.
Hope to get the problem resolved soon.

Thanks for your endless effort JPSalas! wink.gif

Unfortunately I got the same error (using VP9.07 and VP9.05) and so can not play the table ..
Windows 7 64-bit, NVIDIA Driver version 8.15.11.8637

I got the same error with or without using UVP.

Cheers,
FD.

I have just installed windows 7 64 bits only to try this table, and indeed it makes VP9 crash. All the other tables seem to work fine. No slow downs.
I'm trying different things. The older 2.0 table works, so I'll go through the changes and I'll see if I can find what makes VP9 to crash.

JP

Update 1: After a lot of testing removing walls, making walls lower, removing the new plunger ++ I found out that the problem is in one of the images. I have removed them all and the table works. Now it is a matter to go through all the new images and find the one responsible for the error.

Update 2: Now it also crashes without pictures (?!), but sometimes it works. I don't know. I think to find the error I should need to rebuild the table again under win7, and I don't feel to do that just now. I'll try a little more.

Update 3: It has to do with the Vpinball.exe. Right click on the Vpinball.exe (9.0.7 exe file), choose properties, in the compatibility tab choose "Run this program as an administrator" and also choose "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Then it works.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

That's a new kind of strange behavior for VP907 don't you think? I wonder if the image that is causing Win7 64bit to crash has a minor bit of file corruption in it or something?
