..and here we go again..
one important testing request from my side: please check if tables still look (~99%) the same as before, e.g. please do screenshots with 10.3.1 and 10.4 and compare the two, as i changed some internal calculations for some material and table settings..
just to double check that i did not break anything by accident..

Very nice guys, great work.
Got questions:
1. It is possible to add keyboard shortcut to Magnify and Select? Let's say 'Z' for Zooming and 'V' for Select?
2. There is annoing confirmation dialog box every time i reimport/delete something from sound/texture manager, maybe it is possible to add option to disable this dialog box?
One day i'll build Vitalik statue out of used AMD gpu's.

Great stuff Thanks, looking forward to testing the sound options i have had a 5.1 sound system in my cab for 6 years only using the fronts for the backbox speakers. Will have to dig out the other speakers and plug them in and have a bit of a play.
Cheers
note that a table also has to use this functionality in order to have the effect. the default table in VP has it implemented, and also the world cup soccer 94 table to my knowledge..
in the future, hopefully a lot more authors will do the support for it, especially as its super simple to do (not more complicated then not doing it, actually, just take a look at the new helper functions in the default table script)..
'********************************************************************* ' Positional Sound Playback Functions '********************************************************************* ' Play a sound, depending on the X,Y position of the table element (especially cool for surround speaker setups, otherwise stereo panning only) ' parameters (defaults): loopcount (1), volume (1), randompitch (0), pitch (0), useexisting (0), restart (1)) ' Note that this will not work (currently) for walls/slingshots as these do not feature a simple, single X,Y position Sub PlayXYSound(soundname, tableobj, loopcount, volume, randompitch, pitch, useexisting, restart) PlaySound soundname, loopcount, volume, AudioPan(tableobj), randompitch, pitch, useexisting, restart, AudioFade(tableobj) End Sub ' Similar subroutines that are less complicated to use (e.g. simply use standard parameters for the PlaySound call) Sub PlaySoundAt(soundname, tableobj) PlaySound soundname, 1, 1, AudioPan(tableobj), 0,0,0, 1, AudioFade(tableobj) End Sub Sub PlaySoundAtBall(soundname) PlaySoundAt soundname, ActiveBall End Sub

I made some side by side comparison with my fathom table and an LED Mod I'm working on atm and I found 0 differences in the outcome. Well not a much graphicaly demading table, but just wanted to report.
And: the graduated "disable lighting" feature is very welcome; 0 or 1 were actually too extreme.

I've asked for this before, thought i would give it a shot again....lol
sometime you want to "drag" an object, light, wall whatever..... from point A to point B on the table in a staight line in the XorY axis ...
in most every graphic program does this by a left mouse click and holding shift at the same time and dragging the object , again in the x or y direction.....
example this can be seen in adobe PS and AI
also its been mentioned the ability to uncheck a single item from a group..... this would be great too

More realistic saucer physics (where the ball is able to spin around the saucer and drop in?
I'm pretty sure i saw it on some tables, can't remember which one and how author achieve it, little pretty detail.
Btw. it's most noticeable on Stern's Metallica table, on real fucker i always got hanging ball per few games on that damn snake lock. Have to gently hit machine to release ball

Hi, i tried the new surround settings today but i can't get vpx and vpinmame work together on same soundcard. If i use the new surround feature in vpx the vpinmame sound will not work? Any ideas what i do wrong. I,m on Windows 7 and have setup 7.1 surround without center in Windows settings..

I tried sending a message but it says you cannot receive them
In VPX's audio prefs, make sure that you have selected both the General Output Sound Device an Backglass Specific Sound Device by name and not "Primary Sound Driver". I don't want to clutter the 10.4 thread, so if you fix your messaging we can help there.

I've seen that some kickers really feel realistic, with nice swirling effect set at 0.7 .... but then some other tables with the same setting just drop in....
