Full installer for Visual Pinball v9.9.1. This will associate all VPT files with VPinball991.exe.

Please take a look at https://github.com/c...e-Upgrade-Guide for some additional help with problematic VP 9.2.1 (or lower) tables (and more).
In case your setup cannot handle VP 9.9.1 properly for whatever reason, please download VP 9.9.0 or even VP 9.2.1 instead (which was the last release still based on DirectX 7).

Great news, thanks all who were involved.  What build number was the final 9.2 (not at home to try out)?

Wow-What a wonderful Christmas gift.  This is much needed shot in the arm to help generate interest from others who have strayed away from the hobby because of the old and complicated installation routine of yester-year.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible for us Pinheads.  :love39:  :otvclap:

This is better than Disney Land man!

Very excited to try this! A new version and the defender table in the same day! One question - is the only difference between full and standalone installs the change in binary association for vpt files? This will be the first vp upgrade on my cab, and I want to minimize risk so I'm thinking I should snapshot my vp directory and try the standalone before I drop in the full install. Yes?

The installer will install things from scratch, this includes the association with vpt files..

If you already have an installation around that is 'reasonably' new (something like 9.1.0 or newer), then you can go for standalone.. No risk at all this way..

And if you wanna play safe, then the only thing you need to keep around is the old executable and old dll.. That's it..

Anyone else notice that more "older" tables are broken? Pinball wizard scripting causing crash. Removing it from script works but seems to be more tables now. I have vp plunger

Yeah I am getting that to, seems to load a suspect table in VP but errors when launching in hyperpin. Some tables give me the error always too. I do the same and delete the plunger script and use the inbuilt plunger. Out of 120 odd tables loaded I have probably had 4 or 5 tables do it, can't remember which ones though. Don't know what the issue is but it is easy enough to get around.
