Hey everyone.

I'll be taking VPF offline for about an hour or two roughly 24 hours from this post for a routine upgrade. This is not a huge upgrade, like the recent, earth-shattering, life changing upgrade, but a simple software upgrade to implement some great, new features without affecting our site's current functionality.

:)

In 10 Minutes, we'll be going offline.

We will not be gone long.

Upgrade aborted, for the moment.

Seems I need to do some housekeeping to make some room!

And, we're ready to rock on the upgrade.

Got no idea what you changed and if it's related, but it's pretty slow right now.

I tried to open image gallery and get only empty squares (could be due to general slowness)

5 minutes later : it seems to be back at normal, and even get the images of the gallery back

Indeed.

I made a couple configuration changes, and the speed on my end has improved.

Please let me know if your end is better.

Thank you!

I agree. I had a slowness problem for a few minutes, but now it looks faster than before upgrade. Need to check how it runs when there are more members online, during US day time.

I'm noticing that the quotes are no longer boxed in. They only have a bar above them. Not a big deal but it makes it a little harder to tell where the quote ends. Is that a feature or a bug?

I noticed the same thing. First they don't show as "[quote]..." as before, but as grey boxes. When i disable the richtext editor i can see the quote commands again and they look correct. But when i send it........

I want my quotes back! ;)

I've been down so much in the last 3 weeks due to issues with my laptop, i probably wouldn't have noticed anything :)

Glad to see you are still plugging away Noah. No glitches here that i can see.

HI Guys,

I've noticed the quote weirdness. I'll be fixing that today.

DedRok, I'll look into the thumb issue, as well.

Most of the upgrade were enhancements to the Admin stuff. Other enhancements will be enabled over the next few days.

Thanks!

I still love having that menu bar that stays with you regardless of how far down a page you scroll. Makes going back to the portal, or other places on the site, a lot faster. :D
