[Rawd]

I am thinking of going through all of my tables and adding layback to them. Those 'old' FS flippers just look too strange to me after playing layback tables. If you have already converted some tables, and you would like to share the settings, this is the thread to do it!

I will update this first post with all of them alphabetically listed. (I'll try to do a few myself very soon).

Format could be:
Table name: i, f, l, xy, xs, xo, yo

All in one row without any text, no need for text, numbers are always in same order and you know that 270 is rotation, around 1.3 to 2.2 is scale, negative around -400 is always x offset and y offset is around 0

It would be easier to browse long list with only one row per table.

This is a great idea - my 'semi-cab' is in a bit of a state at the moment, but I was also planning to add layback to tables that don't have it once I'm properly up and running again, when I do I'll be sure to post my settings on here - maybe this thread could end up being stickied

It is really great to get this from someone cause tuning this is major PITA - you have to close and open table 10-20 times to fix it right.

Awesome, started going thru mine last week.
I found that with tables that have top flippers, changing flipper heights and rubber heights makes them look more realistic.

Please be advised, I dont stand pressed up against the machine with my head looking directly at the flippers.
I use a comfortable stand back at arms length relaxed view.

I just tried doing a few myself. Man is that a lot of work! lol.

I am having some troubles, and would like some suggestions. I tried UW's Seawitch with these settings:

0 37 70 270 1.36 2.07 -418 30


I think it looks ok. I like the front flippers, but I would like to get a little bit more of a front view on the back objects. Also, the plunger half-disappears? Any help with this one?

Buy front view on the back objects do you mean they are too stretched?
Try to reduce the LB and FOV the same amount to keep the flippers the same.

Or increase both to stretch a bit more.

Go to the table objects and move the plunger.

Havent tried this one yet, only guessing.

It does get a bit involved hey.

I always start off with 0,40,80,270,1.3,1.9,- whatever it is,80, then fine tune from there.

Edit : Had a look at this and the plunger is weird, top and bottom appear, middle is missing.

If you add just a little Inclination (2-3) it can make a big difference on the view.

inclination is very important, i put it to 0 only for flat tables. but if table has some ramps or some figures you have to enlarge inclination enough so that you don't have objects with tops cutted off.

on some tables i lost all flying objects with my standard 0 30 60 starting setup. then i thought it has to do with 24-32 bit bitmaps or invisibility setting on images so i exported all images and convert them and import then back - only to find that it didn't help and that only help is to increase inclination enough

Very true, the old flat tables shouldnt need it, maybe a small amount if you cant get it right.
But ones with high ramps and toys definitely need it, had to set inc to 9 to get stuff to appear on Batman.
