The X Files VP91x v1.01

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table by Sega from 1997
Thanks to all who sent me pictures of the real table, and to wtiger for the playfield he uploaded here.

I built the table thinking about speed and not the eye candy. So there are not very much eye candy, like GI lights, flashers shining all over the table, and even there are a few flashers missing (but they were under the ramps). But it plays fast it has alpha transparency and I think many of you will enjoy it.

I know there are a few differences from my table and the original, like the cards on the backwall and the flipper lanes being in metal instead of plastic. But I wanted the table this way smile.gif

Ok, as always, this table is angle independent, so just change the angle as you want to fit your screen and preferences.

Greetings
JP

Update 1.01
1.01 Updated 18 March 2011
- fixed trigger not on ramp
- fixed ball jumping out of ramp

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Nice Table! dblthumb.gif

Could you try to do Twister soon? I like that table.

I found a few problems, though:

1- The left ramp trigger only seems to be registering hits when not in any mode. ( Maybe it's just me but I'm pretty sure there is something worng with it )
2- It only happened to me once, but the ball hit the right ramp, jumped up, and landed in the loop of the ramp. ( Illustrated below )

Excellent rendition of this table. Thanks a lot!

I still wonder how you make such quality tables in a very short time. It seems only 3 weeks ago that you started this.

first bug: one of the triggers on the left ramp is not on the ramp, but on the floor, so it doesn't register. I'll make an update tomorrow morning in case there are more errors smile.gif

Oh hell bloody yes! I've been waiting for this one ever since you've announced it. I've still got a Biology test tomorrow, but when I get home, most of the bugs should be fixed, and nothing shall stand in my way for an enjoyable pinball evening.

Thanks a lot. I can already tell that this one's a good show without even playing it. That's the power your name has.

Only played two games, rapidly, just to get the "feel" of the table.
I really enjoyed what I´ve been able to do with the flippers to control or save the ball........(Sometimes)........ wink.gif

Never really liked the series, but this table is sweet and fast! Would love to see what JP can do with No Fear: Dangerous Sports.
