File Submitted: 03 Dec 2017

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1980

Based on the Williams table from 1980.
Thanks to Akiles50000 for the source pictures.
Added some small Gi effects to give some more feedback to the player when achieving something :)
I used the latest Williams ROM, but you nay change that in the script, if you prefer an older one or the French one.

The Multiball version uses this rom: http://www.vpforums....ds&showfile=793

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Can't believe it. I was thinking about this table last week. Played with the idea of maybe try to make it myself. Couldn't find any good resources for it. And now it just appear. I remember Alien Poker quite clearly because I spent absolutely all my 17. May pocket money on it.

Thank you very much JP and Akilles.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I played a few rounds of blackout the other day and that's when I realized Alien Poker hadn't been updated to VPX.  Thanks for this one JP!

On a separate note, I had to shorten RightFilpper1 to 110.85 in order to stop it from hitting a cradled ball on RightFlipper.  (the return stroke hits the ball right into the drain)

The reason I did this is that it is very easy to drop the targets in order, 10, J, Q, K, A in that order so as to score a royal flush from the lower right flipper by cradling the ball on the lower right flipper.

I don't know if this is a proper way to solve this problem because I don't recall the real machine having a shorter flipper on the upper right flipper.  Can anyone else verify this please?

Best Regards,

Kruge99.

What I think happened is that many removed that wire so you couldn't cradle that ball, only on the upper flipper.

Fun game, thanks for making.

Any chance you could include the full backglass image for use in the backdrop for those of us that prefer to play at a different angle than what you make it at?

Thanks,

I had saved the backdrop with the black, but I made a new one. It is not 100% the same, but close :)

Great table, JP. Plays really well. Love your physics settings. I like this one for the same reason I like Cosmic Gunfight: A real "shooter" table, Super fun.

I can't seem to light more than the "P" in poker. When I get three aces (hitting the kickers on the sides and then dropping all targets in order), "P" is spotted. But, repeating that process doesn't spot the "O," the "K" and so on.

Maybe I just don't understand the ruleset properly!

:D

I tested that and it worked quite well, and it is like you said: just hit the three holes.

Wow - what a wonderful playing & looking table !

I'm glad you like it :)

It is a very simple table. Build using VPX lights for ilumination, and it is a nice example of what VPX can do without help from external programs.
