After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Same with this table, runs super smooth with no stuttering. Just the way I like it. Once again, it will be an absolute shame if you don't convert ALL your VP8 tables to VP9. Please consider this for the future. Thanks. MIKE

Dude, JPSalas has done so many tables, if he'd be converting all of them, we'd never see anything new from him and THAT would be the bigger crime.

As I said in another thread, I'll convert a few more tables, but not all of them since I would need a few years to do that. Many tables play really well under VP8 and I don't feel the need to convert them to VP9.

My apologies, I too would rather see JP spend his precious free time with new table releases. You are right JP, your VP8 versions look and play extremely well and is really no problem for me as I have both VP8 and VP9 installed on my computer. I will still enjoy playing all your tables no matter what version they play on. Thanks for everything you do and I respect your decision. MIKE

Does the shoot again lamp not flash for the ball save period on this table?

I just noticed it does flash on this table, but not sure about others or the real machine.

How come when I try and play I get an error "Can not create back buffer" and then a random error code?

I get this error when I open a VP9 table with VP8 or vice versa, and/or when I change the hardware acceleration while having the program open and/or in case of tables that need hardware accerelation on or off. When you run out of options it can help to delete the cache-file of the table (only when you have caching enabled), you can find that in the VP directory. As last resort I have had success with deleting the NVram file. You will lose your in-game table settings and highscores though! Hope this helps,
Greetz Slam23

PS: If you run Vista, it can help to right-click on your shortcut to VP8 or VP9 and then choose "run as administrator"
PS2: You can also try to update your graphics card driver

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

Hey JP, thank you for this table!! Just one question. Is there an easy way to convert wire ramps into transparent ones and vice versa. I've been really in a mod as of late to mess around with some tables and really learn VP at least the artwork aspect of a table making. Transparent ramps as you may know(from my constant asking of them wink.gif ) are an important part of some tables and I would really like to start breaking down some current tables and learn from them. Right now my goal is to add transparency to some ramps in tables such as MM, to more accurately resemble the arcade. Thank you for any help JP it is greatly appreciated. smile.gif

I make the wire ramps using normal flat ramps, but they are there just for visuals, the ball never hits them. The actual ramp is the one which is invisible and you need to set this ramp visible and add a translucent bitmap. The wire ramps can be deleted without dirturbing the table. So it is quite easy to add translucent ramps.

JP, I love this table. This is another beautiful recreation that you did. But I'm having a problem... when I try to hit the Merlin and I mistake, the ball hits the right target of trolls, then hit the damsel ramp and finally the ball out between the flipers with no chance. This happens 99% of the time. I don't know if it happens only with me. If this is not the player problem wink.gif When you have a time, Could you improve this?
Thanks! tup.gif

I see what you mean. I'll see if I find a solution. I guess by moving the wall a little to the right will do the trick or reducing/inceasing the elasticity. I'll need to try it a little more. I think the table is a bit too fast too, don't you think?

Great job on this one! Any chance of seeing a 16:9 full screen or spanned version of this table?
