Thats the FVP service timing out. Change the FVP Timer to 6000 or 7000 (its originally 3000).
This will fix it for you.

If anyone wants to try, the newest beta Nvidia drivers seem to fix the stutter in Monopoly, and also the backglass works in FP. (see the post in the Future Pinball thread).

I am getting a weird Flash VP error when trying to run Monopoly from Hyperpin. It errors on line 41 (cannot connect to socket) then line 62 (same error). This error does not happen if you just run Monopoly in VP outside of Hyperpin. No idea why. I see in the Hyperspin forums that a few other people had this same error, but I don't see a solution.

Can't find FVP timer number in the table script.
I found were it says FVP timer is default at 1500 but there is no place to change it in the script that I have found.
My Hyperpin is crashing on this as well.

Getting rid of the LED display helps with framerates till I start locking balls then it drops like a rock again.
I was getting 300 to 700 FPS with the LED.
Without, it shot up to 1100 FPS, but as I lock balls on the left it drops back down to 500FPS.
This will be a great table if and when it gets updated.

The FVP timer is changed on the table editor. Click on OPTIONS and TIMER, on the uppper right of the table in the editor are several timers. Click on them until you find the one named FVP and change the value there.

Commenting out the LED display sub made a world of difference. I was able to remove all of the other 'fixes' and even change flash quality back to BEST and it plays great. I am not to familar with this table, so I don't know how important the LED display is to gameplay but it seems like a good trade off to me. Will be playing this table alot this weekend (really for the first time). Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm glad it helped someone !! smile.gif For me, it took a game that was completely unplayable and turned it into a game that plays near perfect. Attached File  Monopoly.jpg   107.52KB   67 downloads

Thanks. I figured I was looking in the wrong place. lol.
The LED was really hard to read anyway and did not add that much to the game. Glad to take it out so I can finally play the game.

Found the timer and it worked perfectly.
Nice to be able to play this game now.

ledf(num)(y).state = 1
End If
End If
chg = chg\4:stat = stat\4

End Sub

This worked for me. The ball no longer stutters. I was getting around 400 FPS, now around 520 FPS (or whatever it's called when you hit f11)

It would probably help to change the ball, too, as it's quite transparent and tough to keep an eye on with soo much going on. smile.gif

Has anyone done this and what pinball graphic did you use to replace it? I don't care for the default ball either but before I Go messing around with an image in the table I figured I better find out what someone else has done. Many thanks!

The ball isn't transparent so that is not the reason for it "disappearing" so this isn't going to help the issues people have. Changing the ball out is really easy though. Just go to the "images" and "reimport" the ball picture with the ball of your choice and save it.

I'm sorry to ask such a basic question but when I exported the existing ball to take a closer look, it was an 80 X 80 graphic. Do I need to reimport the new pinball graphic at 80 x 80 then? I found one here on the forums that was very sharp but it was 64 x 64 so don't want to mess up the scale, etc.

I just cannot get Monopoly to run right no matter what I try and I have beefy hardware. Does anyone know if there are any plans in the works to release a VP FS Monopoly without the FVP stuff? I love the table so that would be great.

I have been searching for a FS version of this game. Is any version available for download on VpForums?

So ... I have to ask ... Is this an authorized mod?

Thanks.

Unfortunately this takes a lot away from the visuals. But I guess it's better than table stutter for those who have that issue. The FVP version runs surprisingly well on my cabinet, so I guess I'm lucky.

Yes, this is an authorized mod that I am working on with permission from big bad bill.

It's basically complete at this point and runs well without fvp. Not sure when I will finish it, but you can play the work in progress.

This screen shot looks better than the table from the previous link. Still not exactly the same visually like the FVP version, but definitely an improvement over the other one.

Will you be able to make the marquee look better? Also, is it possible to apply better formatting / layback settings to the table?
