Random Design tip: using lights as guidelines for curved surfaces

Hi all-

 

just wanted to share a quick tip for those who are interested in OG table design: it can be tricky to freehand curved surfaces with walls, etc in vp. A trick for getting this right/getting this consistent is to create a round light, size it to whatever size and base your curves, etc on the properties of the light. after you're done, delete the light and you have a perfectly contoured surface.

Also useful for the best placement of pop bumpers for maximum bumper placement and action...

I told ya it was an old screen shot dated 15 July 2005, so I'm sure it was XP but maybe not SP3. :)

 

Bonus points if you can post which table it is!
