Hey everyone, I'm preparing to start mocking up the feedback and lighting elements of my cabinet.  Some questions before I start making purchases.

Feedback and Lighting plans include the following (most already purchased):

4 - 24V Siemens Contactors for flippers/events

9 - 12V Solenoids for bumpers, kicker, events, etc.

10 - 3W RGB LEDs for flasher lighting

1 - LED lighting strip for floor/back lighting

2 - 12V 22 LED white strobe flashers

1 - Shaker

Possibly RGB buttons

Am I missing anything?

So to my question... what would be best for me to purchase towards controller feedback for both Visual and Future Pinball?  I know the LedWiz and ZebBoard is highly sited here, but the Sainsmart seems to be a good option as well.  I was thinking something along the lines of LedWiz and ZebBoard for lighting, and Sainsmart for contactor/solenoid.  Would this be advisable, or is that just spending more for something that I can do another way?  I guess that is what I'm getting down to, what would you purchase if you were me, and what works with both VP and FP?

Thanks!

Sounds like a nice combo, I've got the SMT booster board and a Ledwiz and it works great. Just be sure to solder the ledwiz to the smt booster board. For toys that only needs to be turned on/off the sainsmart should work pretty well. Just bought a 4 channel usb Sainsmart relay board for my fan (that f'ed up two of my ledwiz outputs)

Thanks for the reply blashyrk!  Don't know if I have the funds for a SMT board, maybe the barebones.  Is the LedWiz and Barebones the best combination for lighting?  Is there a more cost efficient option?

Also, does anyone know if the Sainsmart works with Future Pinball?  Or is FP a LedWiz / Booster board only type situation?

Would one of these work?  Relays and the wiring for lighting and solenoids are getting the best of me.  Thanks for any help.

Yes imho the ledwiz and a booster board is the easiest/best solution, to be honest I'm not sure if that relay would work but my guess is it should work with the solenoids/contactors and other toys that only needs to be switched on/off.. For leds you could buy some cheap led amplifiers to hook up to the ledwiz. And I don't think sainsmart usb relays work with FP yet..

Sorry if I am being dense (just new to some of this and want it to be right), by led amplifier, are you talking about this, or maybe this?  I may end up with the barebones booster board either way but would like to compare my options.  The first says it's for a lighting strip (which I will have these on my cab as well), so I wasn't sure if it will work if I buy one for each of the 3W leds that I have.  Also, I tried a quick search, but are others using these, and if so, what are their thoughts?  I know that those, like you, who use the booster board are very happy, just curious of the options available.  Again, thanks for the help, it is very much appreciated.
