fp dmd future pinball dmd dmd monitor fp fp dmd cabinet

Screenshots
Future DMD will create a virtual dmd that can be positioned in a 3 monitor cabinet similarly to the one used in Visual Pinball for Future Pinball!. Your dmd is no longer limited to your backbox or playfield. If you have a 3 monitor cabinet you can now put your dmd where it belongs! You can choose to leave the DMD running between games or launch from your favorite front end. An example has been included for Hyperpin and Pinballx front ends. Instructions are included in the FutureDMD Setup pdf file.

*NEW* Added a Plugin for PinballX to display game information on FutureDMD while navigating your game lists:

It will show things like:
  • Highlighted game's name
  • Last time played
  • Who holds the High Score
  • How many times the game has been played
  • 2nd and 3rd place scores
  • Average time a game might last
As well as customizable messages can be created for every single table making each one unique!

Works fine just as stated, and looks better in most cases than the existing DMD, but I had to position it right over the existing DMD to hide it or you have two DMD's.  AN explanation as to the intent of this would be of help to understand what the intended use of this is as I am obviously missing the idea somehow..  Do you plan to add dB2S style backglasses to FP so we can have different backglasses, or will this support real ROM's in the table at some point?

If you edit your tables translite you can move the existing dmd off screen to a non viewable area. That way it is not seen on the backglass and you only see your future dmd on whatever monitor you want it on. When you edit the table "click the dmd" if it doesn't drag when you try move it "right click" remove the "lock" checkmark and then drag it off the screen. Don't forget to save the table after you have tested it.

As the name states above this is "Beta" so expect some quirks but I am listening and working on resolving them. We are discussing things in this thread:

http://www.vpforums....showtopic=24693

I am going to try to update the first post to keep everyone updated on where it is at. Please share any of your experience,

This works perfectly for me on the many tables I tried.. very nice work, only had to resize and move the dmd to my 3rd monitor and all works well, thank you very much for this :D I am looking forward to using Macro's FP Intercept with my real DMD soon when my VirtuaPin gets here. I guess now I just have to figure out how to make the backglasses full screen and to remove the speaker and empty dmd section.

Thanks again, very nice work!

Yeah, it works perfect for me as well. Can move/resize the new DMD and as I said it looks crisper than the older DMD on the tables I tried.  I know how to move the existing DMD of screen to do what you are talking about and I can see where that would be useful if the DMD is not where you want it.  I'm wondering though does that create any significant system load having one DMD on screen and a duplicate one running just out of screen boundary?

I'm thinking from what Fulltilt is saying that this is more for people running three screens?

you should it post to http://www.gopinball.com in section FP Addon, because there aremany people and programmer, who can help you. I think you makes many people happy.

A question: It is possible to bring this programm in a automatic way to front after table loading ( per time I use alt+tab) and will it be possible to use another colour for each table like in real life.

Superb programm, well done an I tihink it is very useful.

I thought there was going to be a significant hit on performance Shadow having the original table DMD running aswell as another (this virtual)DMD on my 3rd screen but there was none at all that I could see while testing some tables .. actually i was impressed that it worked so well :D

WoW.... I have been looking for something like this for so long..... Works great can not thank you enough..... On a side note I have run it with teminator and found that the animation seems to not show... E.g WILLIAMS logo, Faces, am I doing something wrong or is this a known issue...

"Thanks again you have made my year..."

WOW - MANY THANKS for that. That´s what i had missed in FP so long. It´s a better or near real pinball feeling. Very nice.

how does color change for the dmd work

i edited the ini like in the instructions

nothing happens - stays on default ?

does the table name habe to include fpt ? tried it does not help.... any more instructions ?
