Jack*Bot VP91x 1.1.1

Version: 1.1.1
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the Williams table, Jack*Bot, from 1995.
I guess this table don't need a very long introduction. But if you need a long explanation of the rules I have included a nice htnl file full with links which is a very nice read.

Thanks to MacFly for suggesting this table and for the graphics he made, like the playfield, backdrop, apron and the flyers (included in the zip). I guess this is his favorite table smile.gif. I also would like to thank to StrangeLeo for testing the table.

As always the table is angle independent, so you may change the view as you like. If you don't like the DMD on top then just delete it and adjust the Xscale, Yscale and any other parameter you may want on the backdrop properties page of the editor.

JP

Update 1.01:
- Added missing peg.

Update 1.02 24 May 2010
- added some walls to avoid the ball getting stuck.
- slowed down the table
- changed some sounds
- changed to end top ramp.

Update 1.1 13 July 2011
- Updated for VP12, with alpha transparency and the newest sounds and settings.

Update 1.1.1 18 July 2011
- Fixed the ball jumping out of the left ramp

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Nice. Once again, standard JP quality release. And somehow, that backdrop is seriously giving me a Sixtine Chapel vibe.

Thanks.

Sorry JP, your table is so new but on ball founds between the multiball a hiding-place.

This plays really snappy and looks great too. It is also well optimized and runs good on my mid level system even during multi ball. Thanks for yet another fantastic recreation JP!

Awesome recreation!
I thought I had my machine waxed up and playing fast but this is super fast. biggrin.gif
Sometimes the quickness of the ball freaks out the rom if it goes over the mini playfield too fast.

Plays really close to the real deal, in fact in some ways much better.
I wish my real life ball-locks worked as well as the VP ones... stupid sample game and its bounce outs.
I keep trying to fix it but never can seem to get it perfect. Any ideas out there?

Some general thoughts about Jackbot rules after playing many many games:

Buy ins should be disabled.
Wish you could light the chest lamps via the side targets for the first opening.
Solar Jets timer is a bit quick compared to the double or nothing, or even Pinbot's energy transfer
Hurry up points seem too low.
Mega ramp points seem too low.
During casino run you should not loose the bank with a timeout because there are already too frequent bombs.
Mega visor is the true wizard mode.

Does anyone know what the feature adjustment for casino run length does(A2. 31)?
It has easy, medium, and hard, but the timer is always at 45 sec regardless of setting. Nothing in the manual on this one.

The extra slingshots (to the left of the game saucer lights, below the jet bumpers, and below the drop targets) seem to be part of what makes the table play so fast.

No criticism is intended in any my posts, only my observations. All of JP's tables are works of art.

Thanks for another awesome release JP. From billiards, right into cards. You know the themes that were big throughout pinballs long history.

Table plays quick and looks sharp in every detail.
